I decided to put these three platforms to the test and see which one can give me the best results. So, I created a video and uploaded it on YouTube Shorts, Reels on Instagram, and TikTok. I tracked my progress for a few weeks and noted my findings. This is what I discovered.

Why Did I Decide To Test These Platforms?

As a content creator, I am always looking to expand my reach and grow my brand. I have used YouTube and Instagram for a while now, but I wanted to see how these new platforms compare. The idea was to test the waters and see which one can give me the most benefits.

How Did I Prepare For The Challenge?

I researched the best ways to optimize YouTube Shorts videos. I learned that the videos needed to be short, catchy, and entertaining. I also researched the best tags to use to help my videos get discovered.

2. Reels On Instagram

I researched the best practices for Instagram Reels. I learned that I needed to add music, use trending hashtags, and make eye-catching videos to capture my audience's attention.

3. TikTok

I researched different techniques to make my TikTok videos go viral. I learned that my videos needed to be short, engaging, and deliver a message that resonates with my audience.

Installation And Setup

Setting up an account on each platform was easy. All I needed was to download the apps and sign up. The only thing I had to ensure was that I used the same name across all platforms so that my audience could find me quickly.

The Results

After three weeks of testing, here are my results:

1. YouTube Shorts

I gained ten new subscribers and had 300 views on my video. Although the views were lower than I expected, my video got featured on a few peoples' watch list, and a few comments gave me some insights into what resonates with viewers. I needed to amp up my game with the content.

2. Reels On Instagram

I gained 20 new followers and had 1500 views on my video. The video got featured on the explore page, which helped it get more traction. I achieved my goals for this platform.

3. TikTok

I gained 50 new followers and had 5000 views on my video. My video was shared, and a few tags propelled it in front of many people. I got decent engagement and interaction on this platform.

Conclusion

After testing YouTube Shorts, Reels, and TikTok, I can confidently say that the platforms each have their benefits, but TikTok seems to be the best for me. That being said, I will still continue to upload on all three platforms to see if I can improve my content and get even better results.

I suggest you try all three platforms and see which one works best for you. It takes time and effort, but with consistency, you can build your brand and get the benefits of being a content creator on social media platforms.
